I'm trying to figure out how to create a blank channel strip to use as a divider on my screen. It has no mute, solo, pan, fader, etc. controls and doesn't show up in the mixer window. In the below picture it looks like channels 1 and 6. Just essentially used as a divider for visual purposes.
Yes! Reassigning the folder to "No Output" was what I needed! Thank you!
Just in case anyone looks at this in the future I control clicked the track header, selected reassign track, no output.
Create a folder track and put nothing in it.
You can hide a track. Assign no input and no output to the track before hiding.

This was a wrong answer, but you can reassign a track to "No Output". I use this method as a visual separator in the main menu.
And for those who are using the "delete unused tracks" command like me, put an empty region on the beginning of each empty track (you may name it also in a decent way) so that the track is not deleted then.
Doing that the track still shows up in my mix window with a fader control as well as mute and solo buttons.
