Exchange emails are not showing up in mail

The company I work for uses Microsoft exchange for their emails, my prefered email application is the mail app that is on the macbook. Since updating to 11.2.1, I am not getting any emails from my company emails in my mail app. I check my phone and the emails show up there and also installed outlook, and the emails work there.

I have removed my account from the mail app and that didn't work. I also deleted the v8 mail folder and that didn't help. I called apple support and the only thing they can tell me is I need the mail app to finish downloading my emails from the exchange server before it pulls new emails. I understand that but I can see that the mail app is trying to download 50 emails and it is just stuck there. I told apple support and they told me to wait overnight to make sure it downloads. I wake up this morning and it still at 50 emails needing to be downloaded.

I am getting new emails from my other accounts that are on the mail app and I can also send emails from my work email while using the mail app. It doesn't pull my new emails or download those 50 messages. I'm trying to figure out what else I can do to get this fixed. If anyone has had this issue before or know a solution, I would like to get this working again.

I know I can move to outlook, but all my other inboxes are in the mail app and I like it more.

Hello, ET4wall.

Thank you for posting in Apple Support Communities. We were sorry to read that you’ve been experiencing issues with receiving mail from your Exchange account in the Mail app on your MacBook Pro. It sounds like you’ve done some extensive troubleshooting, but you’re not able to get past the issue of downloading about 50 messages from the server. You mentioned that you are able to get them to load on your iPhone and using the Outlook app on your MacBook Pro, but not with the Mail app.

Are you able to use one of those other devices or apps to determine whether one of those 50 emails may be clogging the system, so to speak? If you left it to download those emails overnight, and you have a strong Wi-Fi connection, there may be one specific email that is backing up the others. Try checking your Exchange mail in another location and move any emails with large attachments out of your Inbox.

If you’re still unable to get your Exchange account to load email in the Mail app on your MacBook Pro, it may be time to get in touch with Apple Support again for more advanced assistance.
