Dual Sim/Iphone Xs Max

I have the Iphone Xs Max and seems like the tray only holds one physical sim card when I thought it holds two. I don't have an E sim

Correct, the 3 countries I listed are the only places you can buy a physical dual SIM phone. If you bought it in the US it has one slot and an internal eSIM.

Unless you bought it from China, Hong Kong, or Macau it has one physical SIM and an eSIM. If you did buy it from one of those countries it colds one SIM on each side.
