Why do I get asked to update Garage Band every day?

Hello, I'm using a Macbook Pro late 2011 17" using 10.13.6. I have Garage Band V 6.0 which I never use but every day it asks me to update to 6.0.5 but when I try the computer will not accept it. I even tried to download the latest version 10 just to stop this updating but my computer is too old for it. This used to be my sons computer and it will not accept my Apple ID for some reason. I use that Apple ID for other things and I never have a problem. How can I get this daily request to update deleted for good?

MacBook Pro 17″, macOS 10.13

You will likely need to sign into the Mac App Store with your son's AppleID to get around this issue, as it was originally installed by him, and he did not perform a clean install of macOS before transitioning it to you, so everything on it would be associated with your Apple ID.
