Handoff Not Working Between MacBook Pro and iPhone

Handoff recently stopped working between my MacBook Pro 13" early 2015 using Big Sur 11.2.1 and my iPhone 8 running iOS 13.5.1. I've enabled handoff on both devices multiple times and signed out of and back into my apple id to no avail. Nothing seems to work.

Hi mwhite2264,

We understand the Handoff feature isn't working any more, so we'll share some tips to isolate and troubleshoot that issue.

As a starting point, this link covers the requirements for Continuity/Handoff, so I recommend double-checking to make sure everything is set up accordingly: Use Handoff to continue a task on your other devices

Then restart both devices and ensure the software is up to date to rule out any conflicts.

Restart your iPhone | Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Log out, sleep, restart, and shut down Mac | How to update the software on your Mac

Are there other continuity features that aren't working outside of Handoff? Here they are - Use Continuity to connect your Mac, iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, and Apple Watch.

Thanks for posting in the Apple Support Communities forum.

Enjoy your week!
