My MacBook air (M1,2020) boot up time with MacOS BigSur 11.2.1 is ranging from 22 seconds to 23 seconds.
Is this the average boot up time ? My friends with the same device experience faster boot up duration ranging from 17 to 19 seconds. Should I be worried ?
I don't have any login items slowing down my boot up.

My boot time with a 2017 27" iMac with 16 GB RAM and a SSD hard drive is 35-40 seconds with 3 external HDs connected., 2 SSDs and an HD. I certainly wouldn't be concerned over a 4-5 second difference. It'll depend on what software is installed and how may apps are in the System/Users & Groups/Startup Items preference pane and the amount of free space on the drive.
there are too many variables between each other's macs to give you an average. my 27" iMac 8-core 64GB RAM 100% flash storage, time machine attached is ~14 seconds. everyone's machine will be different. even two macs with identical hardware can differ depending on things such as settings or installed apps, among many other things.
