Mac Mini (M1) initial setup - cannot connect to Bluetooth keyboard

I was puzzled and somewhat frustrated that no Bluetooth setup screen appeared on the initial setup as my mouse was found immediately but keyboard not. Tried three different bt keyboards to no avail. Keyboard is required to setup initial user account!

Mac mini M1 bluetooth connectivity issues I have the Mac mini M1 with the magic mouse, magic keyboard and trackpad connected and after a while of use the bluetooth module seems to struggle. The connection seems to cut out for very short intervals and 'catches up' all of a sudden. This only happens after a while of use. I read a few articles where people were struggling with connecting to the M1 Macs with bluetooth but it seems like apple released a software update to fix it. However, this problem still hasn't been fixed, I have the latest software downloaded. I have reset the bluetooth module and deleted the bluetooth plist. However, these have only been short term solutions. It almost makes the mouse unusable and I am starting to regret buying it. Is there another fix for this problem or is it a hardware issue? how to connect bluetooth keyboard/track pad to factory reset Mac mini????? I have a Mac Mini that has been reset to factory settings. When starting up it offers no way to connect a bluetooth keyboard, or trackpad. I have tried turning on the keyboard and track pad and see the lights blinking g, showing that they are discoverable. I then start the Mac, but it does not find, or even try to find the devices. The Mac shows the initial screen, where you choose country, etc. I have succeeded I. getting a USB-bluetooth mouse recognized, but I am stuck when the setup wants me to type anything. How do I get the bluetooth keyboard recognized?

My new Mac mini pro struggles to connect to my Bluetooth apple keyboard and mouse. My new Mac mini pro struggles to connect to my Bluetooth apple keyboard and mouse. It connects sometimes and doesn't at other times. Restarting doesn't help. I've had to use a wired keyboard and mouse to be able to get the bluetooth devices to reconnect.
