Find my phone is reporting that it is offline. Is there a way to find out the last known location?

Thank you, I knew for sure that Send Last Location was turned on, but I was not using the "Find my app" on a different device as you mentioned, I was using my browser on my desktop, the iCloud Find My Phone website. There is no mention of Last Location there, just a notice that the phone is "offline."
So I tried it using the app on my iPad instead expecting exactly the same thing, but no, there it does show the last location. As of 2:19 pm yesterday, I can see exactly where it was at about the time the battery would have died.
I wonder why the brower-based version lacks that critical piece of information?
Thanks for your help, I'll always use the app instead from now on.
This was the setting. (pic)
It would appear in the Find My app you are now using to trace it if it was set to On
Your device's last known location is available for one day. If your device is offline or can't connect to Find My [device] for more than 24 hours, you won't be able to see the last known location.
It has not been 24 hours. Where would I see "last known location?" It was not mentioned when I used Find My Phone.
Well I thought the same as you so we both learned something.
