Pages cannot import native InDesign files, but Affinity Publisher can import InDesign .indd files. Otherwise, you would have to export the InDesign file to PDF, and then either open that PDF in Word v16.31 or later to convert it to Word docx, or open that PDF in Adobe Acrobat Pro and convert it to Word docx. Then you can open the Word document in Pages. As this is a translation process in Pages, your original design may take a beating…
You can trial a fully functional Affinity Publisher from the above link, and it is half-off right now in the Mac App Store for $24.99. Don't let that low price fool you about the power in the application.

What is the end result format you are aiming for? I don't think Pages can do it, but iBooks Author can insert chapters from InDesign. Unfortunately iBooks Author is no longer downloadable from Apple, but you may have it from the past.
