How to open an Indesgn file in Apple Pages?

Pages cannot import native InDesign files, but Affinity Publisher can import InDesign .indd files. Otherwise, you would have to export the InDesign file to PDF, and then either open that PDF in Word v16.31 or later to convert it to Word docx, or open that PDF in Adobe Acrobat Pro and convert it to Word docx. What is the end result format you are aiming for? I don't think Pages can do it, but iBooks Author can insert chapters from InDesign. Unfortunately iBooks Author is no longer downloadable from Apple, but you may have it from the past.
