Iphone 4 Issues

In addition to everything being correctly pointed out, iPhone 4 is now so old, so out of date, that even if you could get into the phone, you CANNOT download the YouTube app on that phone.

iPhone 4 cannot run any iOS version higher than iOS 7.x.x. The YouTube app requires iOS 11 or higher. Most modern apps simply will not run on such an ancient, no longer supported device.

Only the owner of that apple ID can remove it for you.

You need to take it back to the person who sold it to you and ask them to get it removed, or to refund you. You cannot use the phone as it is.

You have a burner iPhone.

Nothing you can do.

So, it was overpriced for a pretty worthless bit of tech in today's world is what you're suggesting!

I actually still use a 4s with its original battery. Works a treat and is always on a charger until I need to take it outside.

It's worthless. Even if it wasn't activation locked, it would still be pretty much useless. It's long obsolete. It's doubtful you would be able to get any apps from the App Store that are still compatible with it.
