Successful iTunes diagnostic tests.
ITunes "sees" the device, but in the backup screen the "back up now" button is not selectable. Instead, the reset button is.
Last successful backup: 13.02.2021 h.21.48
How can I solve??

Possibly obvious question... Do you have sufficient free storage available in your iCloud subscription?
I found that iTunes messages are very puzzling in most cases...
In this case I had no error messages at all;
in a previous case I solved "iTunes could not back up the iPhone because the iPhone disconnected" by freeing up some space in my drive: I tried all these tips https://deciphertools.com/blog/2014_12_09_iphone_could_not_restore_disconnected/ but nothing solved!!!
So, look beyond appearances!!!!!!!!! ;-)

ITunes updated (tried apple and windows version)

No error messages
IPhone connected
...nothing to do...
