Any app that needs to access your Apple data will use 2FA.
Thanks. To take that further can you give me an example of a few apps that need access to my Apple data? Does it include financial accounts, or Amazon, eBay, a social media account, etc.? I am just trying to get a feel for this so I am not locked out because if I don't have cellphone service for my wireless which would be receiving the passcode that I need to enter a website when I am on a remote location where there is no cellphone towers or service. In which case I would not opt in for 2FA and just stick to a regular password.

Do Amazon, eBay and any social media account use your Apple data?
Almost all 3rd party apps are not able to access your Apple data such as iCloud mail, photos, contacts etc.
Do I need two factor authentication for all my apps or just when logging into Apple sites?
