If I send my phone for a battery replacement would it delete the info on my phone

No. It will not delete the data on your iPhone. Having said that, you should always create a backup of your iPhone when it is being sent out for repair. This action will safeguard your data in the event that something goes wrong and you have to restore your iPhone from a backup file.
