Duel Monitor help

Hi

I'm looking for some help as I'm new to duel monitors. I have an iMac 27" but for logistics of space in the office it is on the right and the new second screen, a Samsung, is on the left.

a) how do I get the pointer/mouse to go from the left hand side of my iMac to the right hand side of the second screen? Currently I have to take it from the right hands side of the Mac (then around the room) and back on the left hand side of the second screen. It's very unnatural.

b) How do I find the settings for my Samsung C24F396FHU display? The reason I ask is that even when working on documents on both screens, the Samsung annoyingly goes to sleep. This is even more annoying when on zoom/teams. When I purchased the display I was told it would work with an iMac.

Thanks in advance and sorry if these seem really basic questions but I did ring Apple but they didn't know.
