Connect iphone x to macbook pro

Hi guys if you have a solution please answer me. I am not very good with technology so be patient! :D I have a Macbook pro 2011 with a MacOs Sierra 10.12.6 and I want to sent either photos or files to my mac from my iphone x (i understand that Airdrop is not supported). Is there a way to quickly do it either with bluetooth or an app without connecting cables, iphoto or icloud?

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 10.12

Hello Le_Skouf,

Thank you for reaching out in Apple Support Communities. We understand you'd like to access photos and files from your iPhone X to your MacBook Pro running macOS Sierra. We'll be happy to help.

You have the ability to use iCloud Photos and iCloud Drive to access photos, videos and files stored on your iPhone X to your Mac. In addition, a 2011 MacBook Pro is eligible for macOS High Sierra 10.13. Here's three articles on how to update the software on your Mac, along with using iCloud Photos and iCloud Drive:

  1. How to get old versions of macOS
  2. Set up and use iCloud Photos
  3. Set up iCloud Drive

Kind regards.
