I can't preview my photos. I tried to update i-photo and it wouldn't let me stating:
"iPhoto cannot be updated because it was refunded or purchased with a different Apple ID" This app came with my iMac when I bought it. Please help me understand and fix this problem.

iPhotos was discontinued some years ago, and will no longer run on Catalina or Big Sur as it is a 32 bit app.
On Big Sur now, you have the photos app. Have you bought a new Mac, or have you upgraded your old Mac
If you have a new Mac, then you need to transfer the iPhoto library from the old Mac to the new one. If you have just upgraded, then it should already be there.
Make sure you have a backup of your iPhoto library (the conversion can sometimes fail), and then open the iPhoto library using photos. Photos will then update the library for use with the photos app.
