Zoom Echo When Mirroring iPad onto TV

When mirroring a Zoom meeting from my iPad Pro to my smart TV, the audio echoes for all participants whenever I unmute my microphone to comment. Apparently this happens b/c the iPad speakers are automatically muted when logging in and all audio comes from the TV, which is 8ft away......resulting in feedback. Is there a way to re-enable the IP speakers while "Zooming"? If so, I could then mute the TV and avoid the feedback. TIA for any help.
