Backorders

Why is it that my new iPhone 12 Max pro 512gb in gold from att isn’t due to arrive until March 26 order placed on Feb. 2 but at Apple.com I can get the same exact thing in two days. When will ATT get phones in?

iPhone 12 Pro Max Shipment So I ordered the 12 PM on Nov 18th and it’s supposed to be here anywhere between the 7th to the 16th of Dec. it’s currently the 5th of Dec and it’s STILL in processing. I haven’t been charged, it hasn’t moved to preparing to ship, it’s just in processing. No updates or anything. Is there still a possibility it could arrive this week or am I outta luck and have to wait it out until next week? :/ Getting desperate seeing everyone else getting their phones that ordered after me. It’s the 128 gb gold one.
