Record screen + internal sound WITHOUT mic. Possible?

Hello everyone,

I know I can record my screen on my iPad, but I need to record the screen without getting the mic. I often need to record long Zoom/Skype sessions that I re-listen later on for clarification. I usually have lots of background noise so it is not ideal recording sound with the microphone. I also think is poor quality.

Is there a way to simply record a screen whilst recording the internal sound? Or is this something that has been capped on purpose? I may as well know it before I spend lots of effort trying to find a solution.

NB: The option of recording via the Zoom/Skype is off the table.

Regards

What it doesn't make sense is why is then ok recording but via microphone?

It has to do with the prevailing technology when the laws were made. The "analog exception" is a relic from the days when the only way to record something was to play it through speakers and record it on another device (e.g. a cassette recorder). By the time iPads and smartphones came along, we had the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DACA) which prohibits all sorts of things.
