assistive touch to replace side button

Can I add an AssistiveTouch button to replace clicking the side button? When I download an app instead of clicking the side button twice to confirm, I’d like to use AssistiveTouch on the home screen

Yes you can. Go to settings>accessibility>touch>assistive touch>confirm with assistive touch (at the very bottom) - turn that on
