Broken lock button

How do you turn on assistive touch for double clicking when the lock button is broken?

Ive gone to accessibility, touch, assistive touch, confirm with assistive touch. However to confirm with assistive touch I have to double click the lock button so I can’t turn this function on.

is there a solution to this?

Yes. Schedule a repair of the button on your iPhone. Assistive Touch is not meant to replace malfunctioning hardware. Some iPhone functions will always require the physical buttons, even with Assistive Touch providing alternate means. Activating Confirm with Assistive Touch involves enrolling Face ID to confirm paying with Apple Pay. Doing so requires a functioning lock button.
