How do I print from Apple Notes on my Imac? (answered)
The Notes app on my iphone is a great way to store links, ideas, some photos (because I can add a text description), and of course, notes. But sometimes I need to print out those notes from my desktop (iMac) without having to pour the text into another program in order to print. And converting the note to a pdf was too much of an extra step to me.
I quickly found out you cannot print from the notes app in the Cloud (meaning, logging into iCloud and clicking the Notes app, then "command p" — doesn't work.)
I went hunting here to find the answer. It wasn't sufficient. So here's what you do: You'll have to not only open the Notes app on your desktop, you also need to be sure it's connected to iCloud through your system preferences. If you haven't done that in a while, it will take a while to load and update all the notes you've stored on iCloud.
But once that's done, click the note you want to print and hit ⌘P (command p). No page set up available, it will be a basic 8.5x11 page. But you can reformat the note by clicking the "Aa" icon.
Apologies if this has already been answered, I just couldn't find it. Hope this helps someone, thanks!
