Hello, I have having issues with imovie after I upgrade to Big Sur. The system is prompting me to download iMovie version 10.2.2 and leading me to the app store. However once i am clicking on the install button at the app store the perpetual revolving circle shows up and nothing is being downloaded. I would really be glad to have the community's help. I am signed into my apple id so that's not the issue and I also have enough space available on the disk.
Try this procedure and see if you can get your iMovie update:
To update/redownload iMovie 10, drag your iMovie 10 app from the Applications folder into the trash, but do not empty the trash. Sign in to the app store and open your purchases folder by clicking on your name at the bottom of the app store side bar. You will see your purchases displayed, including iMovie 10. Redownload/update iMovie from there. If not successful, drag your present iMovie app out of the trash (if you moved it there) and return it to the Applications folder.
