Music Automatic Downloads

Hi! I keep trying to enable Automatic Downloads for my Apple Music on my iPhone 12 Pro Max and it will not stay enabled. For some reason, as soon as I exit the Music screen, the Automatic Downloads instantly disables again. My other devices have no issue with this—just my phone. I’ve restarted it, have cellular data on, and done everything else I’ve found while google searching. Can someone please help me with this? It is EXTREMELY frustrating not being able to keep this feature enabled. Thank you so much in advance.

Hi mannygonzo,

Thank you for participating in the Apple Support Communities. We understand that the setting for Automatic Downloads disables itself when you exit the settings screen for the Music app. The first step we'd recommend is making sure Sync Library is enabled in Settings > Music. This setting has to be turned on in order to download music from Apple Music to your library.

If this setting is already enabled, or if turning it on doesn't help, make sure your iPhone is running the latest iOS version: Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
