Duplicate Automator Calendar Alarms After Upgrading to Big Sur

I recently upgraded to Big Sur. I have several Automator Calendar Alarms. Now, each Calendar Alarm runs twice - once at the designated time and again at midnight. I have tried deleting and recreating the Calendar Alarms as well as creating new Calendar Alarms. No success.

Is anyone else experiencing this behavior? Do anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks for your help.

Hello, MCash!

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities! If we understand correctly, you're experiencing an issue with your Automator Alarms playing twice on your Mac. We want to help you get pointed in the right direction towards the answers you need.

Does the issue happen with a specific user? If you do not have an alternate user, you may need to create one to test with. Here's more information on how to Set up users, guests, and groups on Mac. If the issue is related to a specific user, you can go to System Preferences > Users & Groups and check to see if any of the login items for your user name are causing the problem.

Best wishes!

MCash,

Thank you for returning to this discussion with this information. We can understand your concerns and want to make sure you have the answers you need. Based on the information you've provided, it looks like this problem is related to an Automator script. You'll want to look over the Automator User Guide for more information on how to edit the code you built.

We hope this helps you out.

Cheers!

Thanks. Is there a way to check the Console to see what is calling the calendar alarms twice? I can create a new user, but I think this comes with its own issues (e.g., calendar alarm not running when new user isn't logged in, etc.). I have posed the question to the Automator listserv. My inclination is to simply bypass Automator and use Keyboard Maestro. This bug makes Automator Calendar Alarms useless.

Thank for your help.
