On my iMac with Cataline I enabled voice control and there is no microphone on screen to start dictating Same a Subject. I've followed instructions on Apple and elsewhere on how to enable voice control. I need to dictate on to computer . After Enabling voice control, there is supposed to be an onscreen microphone icon to click on. There is none on my computer screen. What are likely causes and how do I fix this problem?

unreliable dictation with Voice control I find dictation on my iMac with big Sur using voice control to be unreliable, Even though I attempt to train it. Any suggestions how to improve dictation because I think Apple really have not got this sorted out? Any help would be appreciated.

Voice Control responds to most of the commands on my Mac, but what do I need to say to make it start taking dictation? Voice Control responds to most of the commands on my Mac, but what do I need to say to make it start taking dictation? I see that "Type...." is in the list of the dictation commands, but that command is evidently not recognized as a command to start typing.
