Apple TV not recognizing Apple TV+ subscription

My daughter got a new iPhone, signed up for the free AppleTV+ year. We have Family Share set up and she has shared it. In Settings on both my iPhone and MAC I see Apple TV+ under Family Sharing with her as the subscriber and any billing to me, just as we intended and as it has worked for everything else. However, when I try to watch Apple TV+ shows it will only allow me to watch free shows and asks me to subscribe.

How do I get it to recognize the 1 year subscription we have?

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 11.2

On Macs, remember to sign in to the TV app separately (menu Account). Then it should recognize any subscription valid for that account.
