I hate the new image apple made with Big Sur... the colorful one with red pinkish tones... how can I change it to anything even a neutral background...???

As to your question, you can change your desktop picture by opening System Preferences and clicking on the Desktop & Screen Saver icon. Then it is simply a matter of clicking on a picture that suits you. You can change them whenever you like. Enjoy.
