M1 macbook air not connecting to android phone

I have bought MacBook air m1 . I connected android phone - Xiaomi Note 8 for debugging applications . Unfortunately MacBook is not recognising the respective device . I tried using cable connector , then used type c otg connector . Still getting nothing . Note : not getting RSA finger print key dialogue box in the phone and the moment I connect with windows it works absolutely fine . What should I do ?
