Final Cut Pro Update

Hi,


Could someone please help me:


I got the Final Cut Pro 7 when I bought my MacBook Pro mid 2010. I recently purchased a new MacBook Air and would like to know if there is a way I could get a free version/update? Not only the Final Cut Pro 7 came on a CD and I wouldn't be able to install it on this MacBook Air, but that old version would probably not even run anymore. I was told I have to repurchase the new version full price... any recommendations on what I could do instead?

It’s a completely different application with the same name. The only discounts are through discounted gift cards that are occasionally available in stores like Walmart and Target and Best Buy. You should try it first; it might not suit you.
