Missing & incorrect screws causing hardware fault

Has anyone had an issue with their Macbook being manufactured with missing and incorrect screws?

I bought a Macbook pro 13" 2017, in 2019 and have had a hardware fault that the online retailer states I've caused myself because of the missing screws, and I need to pay £1000 for the repair. I'm trying to get my money back after knowing I purchased a faulty product but I need to prove this fault wasnt caused by myself. I never opened the device, so I don't know how the screw issue happened, unless it was manufactured this way.

Thank you.

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 10.15
