Notifications on my M1 MacBook Air do not work.

Hello Apple Discussions, I have been having an issue where no notifications show on my mac. I tried force quitting the NotifcationCenter in activity monitor but I just got a big bunch of notifications for about a second then they dissapear. I was wondering if anyone was having a similar issue. Whenever I get like a message or an email from a VIP I get nothing. I see the red dot but I don't see anything else.
