Hello Jwhiskey23,
We understand that you have some concerns regarding the location accuracy when using Find My Friends.
Accuracy can be dependent on your location too. If you're in an interior location, or in a place with reduced cellular and/or internet signal, it may not give as accurate a location. It is still ultimately an estimate, but can be improved by a strong signal.
Let's begin with the following troubleshooting steps to begin to try to isolate the issue:
1 - Go to Settings > General > Date & Time to ensure the Time Zone is showing correctly. If it is not, be sure to make any necessary adjustments.
2 - Check to see that you have both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi enabled. You can check in the Control Center to see that both icons are blue. This article will show you the icons to look for: Use Bluetooth and Wi-Fi in Control Center.
3 - Follow these steps to ensure that Precise Location is enabled for Find My Friends: Turn Location Services and GPS on or off on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.
4 - Check to see if the issue is isolated to a specific location, or occurring in all locations.
If the issue is still occurring message us back with the results. Also, let us know if you've been able to test inside as well as outside, and in multiple locations.
Thanks!
