iPhone 12 Pro charging hot and slow

I’ve had my iPhone 12pro for less than 4 weeks. When I put it on the MagSafe charger, and yes it’s on correctly, I bought from Apple, not only does it run hot it charges slow. I was below 30% left it on charger for a half hour and it only charged to 53% and it was super hot. I disconnected because I didn’t want anything to happen. I am not sure what to do. This is way too early to be having battery problems. Should I bring it back to Apple for a new one not to the Genius Bar? Has anyone else experienced this?

Normal for a charging battery to get warm.

There are temperature sensors in the device and when it gets too warm an alert will be displayed on the screen.
