problem conneting external screen via USB C

I'm trying to connect my MacBook Air (September 2020) via USB C to a Philips Monitor 346E2CUAE/00 also with USB C connetion, but the Macbook can't find it or will not detect.

When connection, the Monitor does provide power to my Macbook, and there is a sound when plugging in, but Duble monitor or Screen setting will not fint the additional monitor for me.

Please guide

Hi KamillaRuby,

It sounds like you have some questions about connecting an external monitor to your Mac. We can help with this.

To start, you can find out more information about connecting external monitors here: Use external monitors with your Mac

We'd recommend checking with the manufacturer for your monitor to make sure it is compatible with your Mac.

If you experience issues with the video once connected, the steps listed here might help: Get help with video issues on external displays connected to your Mac

Cheers!
