Year created finder column

I’m trying to edit the “year recorded” column in Finder. I like to have all my music files in chronological order without having to write the year in-front of the file name. Is there any way to edit a files year recorded column? I’m stumped

there is, BUT if it has been imported into iTunes, the catalog entry in iTunes will not change if you edit it in the Finder.

You are better off grouping playlists by year for various tunes and then manually ordering them in the playlist in the Finder.

You can create Playlist folders for better organization.

That way, the information in the Finder won't get lost, and you'll be able to manage it in the sequence you desire.
