Macbook Air M1 track pad force touch feature not working even after reinstalling mac os big sur.

My MacBook Air M1 track pad doesn't register force touch with single finger. I have checked the settings to make sure the settings are right. I reinstalled Mac OS big Sur on my laptop. But inspite of all this, force touch on track pad doesn't work. What could be the problem?

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 11.2

Hello Joeyappleman,

We understand that you are requesting help with using Force Click with one finger on your MacBook Air. Let's take a closer look at this concern to find the best solutions.

To begin we'd like to clarify the behavior that you're seeing. Single-finger Force click is expected to function for specific areas and tasks. Those are outlined on our site How to use the Force Touch trackpad - Apple Support. Are you able to achieve any of those described results found in the list under What you can do with a Force click or Other Force Touch trackpad features? Are your settings similar to the ones outlined in the image at the top of that article, including the checkbox for Force Click and haptic feedback?

We hope this information helps!
