Standardboostd malware

I believe in doing my tax returns - I erroneously downloaded malware while upgrading Adobe reader (grrr). The message I am getting is: standardboostd malware - may damage your pc.

I have found and deleted a *.pst file w that name .... but that has not stopped the messaging. is there a utility I can run that will eliminate malware that may have erroneously loaded on my computer?

Backup your data.

PST are mailbox and calendar on your Mac info for Outlook.

Remove all antivirus programs that are not listed below.

Run Malwarebytes for the Mac when nothing else is running.

Not all daemons are bad.

Run Avast.

If issues persist after running these tools independently of any anti-virus, you may need to restore your system after backing up and doing a system restore. A system restore just restoring the documents and settings should not allow any nefarious daemons to stick around. And only install software from known good source.

Just an FYI, MacKeeper, Advanced Mac Cleaner, and Zeobit and Macpaw software are malware even though you might find them on the Mac App Store. Do not install any system cleaner software.
