Storage Plan Management

Hello I use to have the iPhone 6s and when I had it I bought the storage plan for 50GB. I just recently upgraded to the iPhone 12 and am still being charged for the 50GB of storage even though the iPhone 12 has 68GB of storage for free. I tired to cancel to storage plan but it says that if I do it will drop me back down to 5GB of storage. Trying to figure out how to stop paying for 50GB of data and have the 68GB that come with the iPhone 12
