Is there a way to turn off keyboard clicks / notification sounds / lock clicks when headphones connected?

My phone usually stays on silent / vibrate with the volume settings for system sounds / notifications turned up for times when I want to turn off silent mode. I usually turn it on for specific reasons, so I would like to leave the sound settings as is.

The problem is that when I connect headphones, all of the system sounds are at that volume - even when the phone is on vibrate or silent mode. Why do headphones automatically turn off silent mode?

I am disinclined to change sound settings constantly, every single time that I connect and disconnect headphones. It's an unnecessary hassle, and so far I haven't seen any solution despite the fact that people have been asking this same question for several years. I'm really annoyed with hearing clicking and alerting constantly interrupting my music or whatever I'm watching.

Does Apple have any fix or plans to fix this annoyance?

Well, just because you think it’s annoying, it does not mean it requires a fix.

That said, this is a user to user forum. We don’t know Apples future plans, and even if we did, the terms of use of these forums prohibit us talking about it.

Thank you for helping to make me aware of the terms and for providing information on how to submit feedback. I appreciate the assistance.

If someone HAS figured out a fix, I would be very happy to hear about that, as mentioned.

Edit: I asked if there were known plans because asking if there is a fix is pointless if it’s already a know issue with intended resolution. I apologize for appearing to attempt to break the rules.
