Purchasing UK Keyboard Macbook in Indonesia / SE Asia?

Hi there,

I've been used to using the UK keyboard layout for my MBP for several years now. I'm currently in Indonesia and looking to upgrade my MBP.

However, it seems that the default layouts for MBP here are US layout. I'm personally not to keen on switching to the US layout because I'm used to having my devices in the EU layout.

Can I please ask for any advice/info on where I can purchase an MBP with a UK layout keyboard, potentially in Singapore or other neighbouring countries?

I'll potentially end up getting a US one if it's impossible to get a UK layout one, but I thought to give it a shot to ask the community anyway.

Thank you!

The problem is that US and European keyboards are different in their number of keys and the shape of the return key, and many users strongly prefer one to the other. You can see the difference at

Another option is to use the System Preferences > Keyboard > British - this can give you the Key Layout you are used to. If you want a true visual of the keyboard consider getting the correct keys you want and swapping them out.

Take a look at this company for replacement keycaps. I've used them to replace a few worn keys on my wife's MBP - good fast service. A different workaround!
