Voice memos and iCloud
Are voice memos using iCloud space? I have 5Gb iCloud space and 4GB of voice memos on my iPhone but it shows only 1.5Gb as taken.
At the same time I can check any of them on my Mac

We'd like to help clear up the confusion around Voice Memos storage, along with making sure your storage amounts are correct.
As you mentioned being able to view all of the same voice memos on both devices, this indicates that Voice Memos is enabled in iCloud for both devices. Let's now review some details you mentioned, along with ruling out some possible causes to what you're seeing:
- You also mentioned having the standard/included 5GB of iCloud storage, with 1.5GB being used by Voice Memos. While we suggest deleting any content(such as Voice Memos you no longer need), Apple does offer iCloud storage upgrades: Upgrade your iCloud storage plan Having an almost full(or already full) iCloud storage can result in unexpected behavior, including the discrepancy you're seeing for Voice Memos in the built-in/iCloud storage.
- We also see you're using an iPhone 7 Plus with iOS 12 installed, but the latest for your model is iOS 14.4. You can verify the version number installed within Settings > General > About. Here's a link that'll show how to first back up, then Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. We recommend this not only for security and compatibility updates, but also to rule out any issues that may have been fixed in later updates as a possible cause to what you're seeing.
