Alerts when lock-view is active on iPhone12 active plus iPhone is paired to an Apple Watch

Alerts are not reliable when using an early edition of Apple Watch paired to a iPhone-12. Read older forum posts about this - Question today is: Unclear to me, if by purchasing the latest version of Apple Watch, (spending more $), is this the solution? Know of others with a Watch paired to an older iPhone series, such as the iPhone-11, not talking about - not receiving text alert notifications, (one alert example), when iPhone display-lock is active. Thanks for reading.

Hello Randy-12

Thank you for your reply.

More detail on my trouble with the Watch v3 and iPhone-12:

Watch V-3 ties itself into a knot, (loses sanity), receive no notifications on Watch or iPhone-12. Power cycling watch helps. With watch in off / disabled condition, alerts are good to iPhone-12. Thank you for reading.

1). Would be so helpful if Apple would simply notify us on both devices full time, unless we manually silence the devices.

2). Have some sort of software alert delivery verification method in place, (where alert deliveries are confirmed as delivered / sound verified also, if possible).

Of course have the above alerting proposal — iPhone user — selectable, for those who do not want verification or alert sound(s) on both devices at the same time.

Apologize for the long reply. Good rest of the day to you.
