SMS Messaging Failure on iOS 14.4

Is Apple ever going to address the iOS 14.4 issue texting to non-Apple phones? I continue to get message not delivered errors when texting images to non-Apple devices, especially if I have iMessage enabled. It still sometimes happens with it disabled, but not as often. Trying to send to a group text that when iMessage is enabled and there are non-Apple phones in the group is nearly impossible. The following are all on: iMessage, Send as SMS, MMS Messaging, and Group Messaging.
