IPad charging port issue

Brand new 2020 iPad pro 12.9. Not even had it a year yet. Charging port is loose, no lint, no debris... I never use the ipad charging port because I have it hooked to my magic keyboard to charge when it needs charged. Whelp, my magic keyboard just died, and I'm waiting for a new one to come. All genuine apple cables, can't get them to sit right to charge my iPad. Apple genius bar said it's common for them to be loose after use, but wait... I never use that port, how is it loose? Is this a common issue?
