Big Sur 11.2.1 Mac Mail Issue

I can not keep emails separate in my Mac Mail. It keeps grouping by conversation. I have tried to go through Preferences/Viewing/ and uncheck "include related messages"; and I've gone in to "View" on the Mac Mail Menu and unchecked "Organize by conversation." As soon as I close mail, or it checks email again it undoes it. Has anyone found a way to keep conversation unchecked? I loose information easily when it groups them in. And don't get me started on the search feature. If this doesn't fix soon I am just using GMAIL.

Hi Brian,

We can definitely image the inconvenience this is causing you, and we'd like to help. To clarify, is this currently happening with a Gmail account? If so, do you see the same behavior if you check the account from the Gmail website? This will help us better determine where exactly the problem is happening.

We'd normally expect the feature to work as shown here:

View email conversations in Mail on Mac

Any additional details you can provide will put us in a better position to assist.

Take care.

Currently I am using Mac Mail (Version 14.0 (3654.60.0.2.21) and it checks both my work email, and my personal gmail account. I have the same set up on a Mac Pro and a MacBook Air with no problems -- On both of these computers I went in and did as the User Guide linked above shows "Choose View > Expand All Conversations."

When I do that on my MacBook Pro (MacBook Pro (16-inch, 2019)) it will expand all conversation until either I close out Mac Mail, or Mac Mail refreshes at that point it re-groups everything into conversations. As this doesn't happen on my other two computers, I am at a loss to get it to work right. All three computers are using Mac Big Sur.
