I’m looking for an app that will measure the wearer’s speaking volume and notify when it is out of a predefined range. This will be used for kids with autism who have a loud speaking voice, cue them to lower their volume. Bonus if it could also measure pitch and melody.

Thanks Keith. There are phone apps that do this already, but no watch apps (e.g., Voice Analyst). There is a new Noise app (phone and watch) from Apple but the levels are high as it's meant for prolonged loud noises that could potentially cause hearing loss.
What are your thoughts about using airpods to solve the distance problem?
Since the distance from the speaker is critical, I don't see how a phone app can do it.
