How do you know how much time is left on the migration/transfer from old Mac air to new Mac air ?

I am trying to use migration assistant to copy data from my old Mac to my new Mac it has been on for two days and still said there is over 100 hours to go I am trying to transfer data from my old Mac book pro to my new one with migration assistant… has already been on for two days and says need more than 120 hours (and counting ) to do this. how can I speed up the transfer? I'm using the migration assistant to move everything from my old Mac to a new one. The estimated time to transfer everything is over 27 hours? Is there a way to speed it up?

When the transfer process begins successfully then there will be a status windows on both MacBooks informing you about the progress (Progress Bar) and also the time remaining. Are you screens stuck on a particular process?
