Bcc to self on Mail for Ipad has stopped working

How do I solve this? It used to work, set on Auto Bc to self, but now doesn’t. It also doesn’t Bcc or Cc if I add my email address manually.

This is IN ADDITION to the message in the Self often displaying the message that it can’t be displayed because of the way it was formatted, as reported by dozens of people!

  1. I’ve toggled every switch there is
  2. I only have one network, but this only started happening a month or so ago. It doesn’t happen with the other email programme I use on the IPad (Airmail), with Typeapp on the Android or Thunderbird and Pegasus Mail on the PC
  3. I don’t have an email provider - do you mean the company such as Sky or Yahoo? I use Sky, Yahoo, Gmail and two Zen email addresses and forward the non-Zen ones to Zen. It happens on all of them and they’re not in spam anywhere.
  4. Like I said, it happens with 5 different email accounts and only on Mail for Ipad.
  5. Other people in the Community have reported this, with no solution so far

Hi Bloodyipad,

Thanks for coming to Apple Support Communities for help today with "Always BCC Myself". It sounds like the feature isn't working.

Have you toggled the switch off and on?

Does this happen on every network you have used?

Who is the email provider? Have you checked the web mail portal to see if mail was BCC'd there? Does BCC work there?

Have you tried deleting and re-adding the email account?

"Remove your email account and set it up again

  1. On your computer, sign in to your email provider’s website. Make sure that all of your email is there or make sure that your email is saved somewhere other than your device.
  2. On your device, go to Settings > Mail, then tap Accounts.
  3. Tap the email account that you want to remove.
  4. Tap Delete Account.
  5. Add your account again."

Let us know further details.
